Meet Senhora da Guia

Born in Sao Paulo, Ms da Guia graduated with first class honours in Media and Communications Studies from Universidade de Sao Paulo class of ‘02. After a year of travelling, interspersed with the odd modelling assignment, she got her big break when chosen out of thousands of applicants for the coveted role of roving reporter on the Alpha Mission Hour. Within a year, her meteoric rise was complete when she replaced fellow paulista, Giselle Vargas, as the show’s main presenter, following Vargas’ sudden departure for ‘personal reasons’.
Describing her new gig as ‘a blast’, what is less well known is her role as confidante and interstellar ‘penpal’ to Marta Fernandes, eldest of the Mission children
